Cardio-oncology is the intersection of heart conditions in patients who are currently being treated or have been treated for cancer.  Multiple therapies used to treat malignancy come with a host of potential cardiac side effects including chemotherapy agents and radiation.  We use advanced cardiac imaging to help diagnose and evaluate oncology patients who may develop unique cardiac issues with the goal of providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary care with our oncology colleagues.  As cardio-oncologists, we have a unique perspective with respect to treating patients diagnosed with cancer in order to help oncologists protect their patients during therapy with closer monitoring of their heart and with the goal of recognizing heart trouble early on in treatment.

Dr. Richard Taikowski and Dr. Ari Pollack have specific expertise in the diagnosis and management of these patients.
